A European recycled paper and packaging manufacturer has announced it’s building its second US location in Anderson.

With US headquarters in Hamilton, Ohio, Saica Group says it’s building a new $110 million facility in Anderson.  The company says once it’s fully staffed, it will create more than 100 jobs for the community by the end of 2030.

Saica says the factory will make “shelf ready” cardboard packaging from recycled paper.

The Anderson site will be nearly 350,000 square feet and will be connected to a railway to cut down on shipping costs.

Construction for the factory is set to start in May, with work finishing in late 2026.

Saica will receive more than $2 million in state economic development tax credits for choosing Indiana, plus more for workforce training grants.

In a statement, Anderson Mayor Thomas Broderick, Jr., touted Saica’s jobs as “diversified advanced manufacturing opportunities.”

Ann Lathrop, chief strategy officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, said the company will have a significant impact on the local economy of Anderson and Madison County for years to come.
