“Champion Book” – 12/12/14

The new book, “The Fast Times of Albert Champion” by Peter Joffre Nye, is a biography of the legendary founder of ACDelco and Champion Spark Plug. Champion started as a bicycle racer –  something of a Jazz Age celebrity and daredevil who came to this country from Paris to race bikes. Nye is a Ball State graduate from the 1970s who wrote much of the book at his family farmhouse in Fortville, near Pendleton.
