Magna Powertrain expands in Delaware County

An international auto parts maker already located in Muncie plans to expand its operations and create 50 new jobs in Delaware County.  Today, Magna Powertrain announced it will lease the 100,000 square foot Shell Building on West Fuson Road.  Company officials say they will add two transmission components assembly lines… adding about 50 jobs.  Magna Powertrain is the U.S. arm of the Canadian company, Magna International.  The company already produces automotive parts in Muncie from their existing building on Cowan Road.  Indiana economic development officials say they are offering the company tax credits and training grants for their expansion.  Delaware County will also give the company tax abatement incentives.
