JCPenney Closing Five Indiana Stores

JCPenney is planning to close 138 of its stores nationwide – five of them, right here in Indiana. Hoosier stores to be closing are in Columbus, Connersville, Huntington, Jasper and Logansport. Those closings should take by place by the end of June. JCPenney said the stores that will be closing had weaker sales or would have needed expensive upgrades. The move will affect about 5,000 employees across the country.
