Ball State University’s 50-year-old LaFollette Complex is coming down, a section at a time, starting this spring.  The university is seeking demolition and asbestos abatement bids for the five-building residence hall complex. Notices to bidders say demolition will begin May 8th.

1,900 students are housed in the nine-story structures.  Mysch-Hurst Hall and Woody-Shales Hall will be the first buildings to be torn down.  The $3.4 million project will be completed by the end of September.  New residence halls and green spaces will eventually occupy the LaFollette footprint.
