BSU women’s basketball coach resigns
Ball State University has announced this afternoon that head women’s basketball coach Kelly Packard has resigned, effective on March 30th. Director of Athletics Tom Collins says Packard has been a great role model for her student-athletes. Packard guided the Lady Cardinals to a 58-68 overall four-season record. In 2008-2009, she led Ball State to its third straight MAC West Division title, its first MAC Tournament Championship, and its first NCAA Tournament berth. Packard says she has resigned her position because of other personal and professional endeavors. Collins says a search for her replacement will begin immediately.
