See How Indiana Schools Ranked In US News’ ‘Best Colleges’ List
Three Indiana universities made the top 100 in U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 “best” rankings for higher education institutions, released Tuesday.
The University of Notre Dame remains the highest ranked institution in the state — it tied for spot No. 18 in the “Best National Universities” category. That is down slightly – last year it held spot N0. 15.
The annual list is calculated using a mix of benchmarks to compare the “relative quality” of the institutions. Some of the indicators used include graduation rates, financial aid offerings, how many students remain at a college after the first-year and quality of the faculty.
In addition to the “best” overall rankings, the magazine ranks engineering programs and colleges in regions of the country.
