Indiana Weekend
12/28/12 – No. 32 – Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival
Take a break from the winter chill with a look ahead to the Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival in June, one of Indiana’s best-known festivals and a great reason to visit Brown County. The festival park is now owned by Dwight Dillman of Kokomo, who played banjo with Bill Monroe, the father of bluegrass and the park’s former owner. Dwight and his son Derek, a guitarist who also performed with Monroe, join us to play a couple of songs and tell us about their days on the road.
