8/17/12 – No. 12 — Horse Therapy, Minnetrista Civil War Letters
We meet Rebecca Holmquist of Minnetrista to talk about the center’s exhibit of Civil War letters. The engaging exhibit includes numerous photos, some of the actual letters themselves, displays showing what life was like during the war, and even the sound of the letters being read. And we talk with Kathy Rapkin, president of East-Central Therapeutic Riding, the program that helps children with conditions such as cerebal palsy and autism gain strength and confidence by interacting with horses.
