IDOH reports 87 of Indiana’s 92 counties show lowest level COVID Spread Rating

The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) reports 87 of Indiana’s 92 counties are showing a Blue Level zero or zero-point-5 COVID Spread Rating – the lowest spread figures on the three-point Covid Spread Scale. Five counties are one step up at a Yellow Level 1.0.

Statewide COVID Dashboard numbers as reported Wednesday show 288 new positive cases, a 2.2 percent, seven-day positivity rate, with 22 new deaths. Indiana’s pandemic death toll stands at 22,416.

Here in Delaware County, finally showing a Blue Level 0.5 COVID Spread Rating,
three new cases were reported with a 2.3 percent, seven-day positivity rate, and no new deaths. Delaware County’s pandemic death toll stands at 419.

Delaware and each of its contiguous counties sport a Blue Level COVID Spread Rating. Tipton County is the closest county to Muncie with a Yellow Level 1.0 rating. Positivity numbers in Tipton County are on the rise.
