#5 Ball State men’s volleyball start MIVA tournament Saturday

Ball State’s men’s volleyball Cardinals will take their 5th-ranked-in-the-nation status into Worthen Arena Saturday at 7 p.m. in the first round of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association conference tournament.

First serve is at 7 p.m. The top-seeded Cards will take on the eighth seed Quincy. Should the Cardinals prevail in the quarterfinal match, they will play the winner of the Ohio State – Lewis match in semi-final action at Worthen Arena on Wednesday.

In the latest Off The Block national media poll, UCLA is ranked first, followed by Penn State, Long Beach State, Hawai’i, and #5 Ball State.  USC comes in at sixth, followed by UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, Grand Canyon, and tenth-ranked Pepperdine.
