Published on in Uncategorized

A new student enrollment report from Anderson Community Schools shows the district has lost more than 900 students in the past calendar year… 300 more than district officials predicted.  According to the report compiled by director of student services Nancy Farley, A-C-S lost about 2,300 students between September 2009 and September 2010.  But in the same time, the district enrolled about 1,300 new students.   The report shows that about 750 of those students transferred to neighboring school districts.  Frankton/Lapel received the most former Anderson students, enrolling 132.  More than 100 students are now being home-schooled.
