Ball State University today named its new athletic director.  Bill Scholl previously served as the deputy associate athletic director at Notre Dame University.  University president Jo Ann Gora praised Scholl’s two decades of experience at Notre Dame.

In South Bend, Scholl was responsible for the supervision of football, men’s basketball, baseball, men’s soccer, and women’s golf.   Scholl says he is happy to be a Cardinal.

Current athletic director Tom Collins announced in January that he would leave Ball State at the end of his contract.  Scholl will officially begin work on April 30th.
