Mid-American Conference Track Championships Wrap Up Today (Sat.) at BSU
(MUNCIE) – The 2015 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships in women’s track and field continue today (Sat.), the third day of the three-day event. Ball State is the host school, with events being held at University Track in the Briner Sports Complex, next to Scheumann Stadium.
Ball State senior Courtney Edon turned in a ninth-place showing in the 3000m steeplechase with a 11:22.65 time to lead the Ball State track & field team on the second day of the championships, Friday. Senior Caitlynn Edon also competed in the event with a 11:44.60 finish for 15th.
Through eight scored events, Akron holds the overall lead with 65 points. Eastern Michigan is second with 59.5 points, followed by Kent State (49), Toledo (34), Northern Illinois (27), Central Michigan (22), Bowling Green (17), Western Michigan (13), Buffalo (11.5), Ohio (8), Miami (6) and Ball State (0).
