Jared Fogle asks for minimum sentence for charges of sex with underage children

By Barbara Brosher | Published on in Uncategorized

Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle has asked a federal court to give him the minimum sentence possible after pleading guilty to charges of paying for sex with underage children.  Fogle is asking to serve five years in prison and his attorneys are asking the court to take his medical condition into account. After Fogle’s Zionsville home was raided by federal agents this summer, a forensic psychiatrist determined Fogle suffers from hyper sexuality and alcohol abuse. He has been attending counseling and group meetings.  Federal prosecutors have asked the court to give Fogle the maximum sentence possible for pleading guilty to having sex with young girls in hotels while on business trips. That is 12.5 years with a lifetime of parole. Fogle’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for next Thursday.
