Brady Sallee’s Ball State women’s basketball Cardinals picked up their first road win of the season by beating Lipscomb, last night, 72 to 60. Nathalie Fontaine scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for her 22^nd double-double. The Cards go to 6-and-2 on the season in spite of committing 26 turnovers. Ball State shot 51.9% from the field, and 80% on 8-of-9 shooting from the free-throw line. Next up: The Cards travel to Mackey Arena to take on Purdue, Sunday afternoon at 2.

In men’s college basketball …  Ball State welcomes Pepperdine to Worthen Arena, Saturday at 1 p.m. The Cards are on a 6-game winning streak and are 7-and-2 on the season. You can see the game, as well, on ESPN-3.
