Israeli auto parts manufacturer locates in Richmond, bringing 100 jobs

By Stephanie Wiechmann | Published on in Uncategorized

An aluminum auto parts manufacturer has chosen Richmond as its first North American manufacturing location, bringing with it 100 jobs in the next few years. Indiana officials made the jobs announcement from the company’s headquarters in Israel. Omen USA will be a subsidiary of the Israeli-based Omen Casting Group. Officials say the US facility will make aluminum parts for drivelines, steering components, and oil pumps.

Omen says it will spend $16 million to renovate a building in Richmond and intends to begin production by the end of 2016. The company has committed to creating up to 100 new jobs by the year 2019.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation says Omen is the sixth Israeli company to locate in Indiana.
