Italian fertilizer company building headquarters in Anderson
Officials in Anderson say an Italian-based organic fertilizer company is bringing its North American headquarters to the Madison County city. Italpollina says it will spend $9 million to build a new facility near the Flagship Enterprise Center on Scatterfield Road. Company CEO Luca Bonini says the plant will be finished by December and Italpollina will begin hiring for 35 job openings in 2017. Those jobs include administration and production. The 45-year-old company already produces organic fertilizer and biostimulant fertilizer additives at locations in Europe and South America.
