Lawmaker Avoids Criminal Charges in Election Controversy

(VALPARAISO) – Special prosecutor David Thomas has declined to pursue criminal charges against State Representative Michael Aylesworth (R-Hebron) over an allegation of election tampering. The Times of Munster reports Aylesworth declined to comment. He had been accused of using Republican Party credentials to serve as a poll book holder in a precinct where he was also a candidate.
