Canadian Counsul General Touring Indiana to Promote Trade

By Network Indiana | Published on in Uncategorized

(DETROIT) – Indiana and Canada are hoping to bolster their trade relationship with an upcoming “Canada Week in Indiana.” The consul general of Canada, Douglas George, says Indiana sells more goods to his nation than the next five largest foreign markets, combined. George says a total of $20 billion in trade in 2014 took place between Canada and Indiana, with an estimated 190,000 Hoosier jobs dependent on that trade. This week, George will be touring the state and meeting with business and community leaders to promote Hoosier-Canadian trade possibilities.
