Smartphone App to Help IDHS Gather Data in Disasters
(INDIANAPOLIS) — An app could change the way Indiana responds to disasters. You’d probably be checking your smartphone anyway, so the state of Indiana is hoping you’ll lend them a hand. The Indiana Department of Homeland Security is finalizing a smartphone app that will let people around the state submit data in the event of a disaster like a big storm or power outage. They hope it’ll streamline the data collection process.
