(STATEHOUSE) – Extra money for Governor Pence’s Regional Cities Initiative has made it through a House committee, but only by piggybacking it onto the road funding bill. Several legislators, including many Republicans, aren’t happy Governor Pence announced funding for three regions when he only had budget approval for two. And Ways and Means Chairman Tim Brown, a Republican from Crawfordsville, says there’s also skepticism from rural legislators whose districts won’t benefit.
