Lawmakers question HIP 2.0 bill, but send it to Governor anyway
On the final day of this year’s legislative session, House and Senate lawmakers have sent a bill to the governor that codifies HIP 2.0, the state’s health care program. But the bill had far from unanimous support. And as Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Brandon Smith reports, even as it passed, some lawmakers expressed concern that the measure will limit the state’s flexibility to improve the program in the future.
