Today, the state Senate gave unanimous approval to a bill reforming Indiana’s medical malpractice system. It now heads to the governor for approval. But as Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Brandon Smith reports, the bill looked like it was all but dead in a legislative committee until about a week ago.
