Ball State held on to beat Coppin State, Monday, in the MGM Grand Main Event in Las Vegas, 79 to 77. Tayler Persons scored 19 points and made a crucial three-point play in the game’s last minute. The Cards are 3-and-2, overall. Next up is Southern Utah in Las Vegas, Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
Today at 4:30 Brady Sallee’s Ball State women’s basketball Cardinals take on Auburn, in Savannah, Georgia. The Cards are 2-and-0.
Tonight at 7, Mike Neu’s Ball State football Cardinals are on the road to face Miami at Oxford, Ohio. The Cards wrap up their season, tonight trying to get their fifth win against seven losses in Neu’s first year as head coach. You can see the game on ESPN-3.
Elsewhere in sports, the Indiana Pacers had a great road win Sunday at Oklahoma City, but got their uniforms pressed, folded, and mailed out of Bankers Life Fieldhouse by Golden State, l;ast night, 120 to 83. The Pacers are 7-and-8 overall; Golden State is 12-and-2.
