In just about a month and a half, Yorktown superintendent Jennifer McCormick will be sworn in as state schools superintendent and become responsible for education across the Hoosier state.  As Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Claire McInerny reports, McCormick will take over for current superintendent Glenda Ritz in the middle of a big transition period for education in Indiana.

In Yorktown, school officials say that current education initiatives director Dave Sturgeon will replace McCormick temporarily.  The district will begin looking for a permanent superintendent to begin next school year.
