Lawmakers consider extending ISTEP test under new name

The Indiana state legislature passed a law earlier this year scrapping the current statewide assessment test, known as the ISTEP.  But now, lawmakers who wrote that law are wary of jumping into a new test too soon.  As Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Peter Balonon-Rosen reports, the ISTEP may remain – under a different name – until 2020.
