By Network Indiana | Published on in Statewide News

Now through January 3rd, patrols are beefing up around the state for the holiday period. Triple A estimates 94 million Americans will be taking a road trip. To help ensure safety on Hoosier highways, police will have additional troopers out on the roadways, participating in Operation C.A.R.E., or Combined Accident Reduction Effort. It’s a federally funded program that allows additional troopers to patrol state highways during the holiday period.
