Muncie has seen its second fatal shooting in less than a week.

Early this morning, Muncie police say 20-year-old Zackary Farmer of Middletown was shot in the 800 block of West Main Street.  Chief Joe Winkle says a motive for the shooting hasn’t been determined yet, but said drugs may have played a role.

Thursday’s fatal shooting follows another on early Sunday morning, when police say Joseph Johnson was shot many times outside his home in the 1500 block of South Pershing Drive.

Muncie police are still investigating both shootings.
