Marsh Supermarkets Closing Stores In Muncie And Anderson

Muncie and Anderson will each lose a Marsh Supermarket after the chain announced store closings today.

In Muncie, the store on South Hoyt Avenue will close its doors on May 27th.  Anderson’s North Broadway location is also going dark.

The Indiana-based chain announced nine total store closings in the same week the company is selling its business to CVS and stopping hard liquor sales at 37 stores because of the state’s complicated alcohol laws.

In a statement, Marsh says the closings come from a “difficult competitive environment.”

Closing on May 21 –

Closing on May 27 –

17901 River Avenue, Noblesville

2940 N. Broadway, Anderson

5830 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis

1900 S. Hoyt Avenue, Muncie
