UPS Planning New Hub and Hundreds of New Indiana Jobs

UPS has announced plans for a new hub in Plainfield that will bring hundreds of new jobs to the Hoosier state.

UPS said Tuesday morning it plans to create 578 new “high-wage” positions at the facility by 2023. In a press release, the company said it expects to pay workers “a wage 45-percent higher than the state average wage.”

The 2016 median hourly wage in Indiana was $16.25, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
