Heroin is a big problem in Muncie, and the Muncie Police Department is looking to add a few more four-legged officers to the force. Officers are turning to the community for help. Right now the Muncie Police Department has just two dogs on the force, named Jan and Carlos. MPD wants more police dogs. Each one costs thousands of dollars. The department plans on launching a fundraising campaign this week to raise money for the new K-9s.
