South Bend Schools Propose Sweeping Financial Changes

Amid reports about financial woes of school systems in Muncie and Gary, the South Bend Community School Corporation announced plans for major changes to its district this week as it seeks, in part, to avoid major financial issues. Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Jeanie Lindsay reports officials see the shift as a way to better align resources amidst declining enrollment.
