Ball State knows today who it will face in the MAC men’s basketball tournament quarterfinals at Quicken Loans Arena, Thursday. The Cards’ opponent will be Kent State.

In the first round of the MAC Tournament, last night at campus sites, Kent State hosted Northern Illinois and beat the Huskies 61 to 59.

Elsewhere, Central Michigan beat Bowling Green in overtime, 81 to 77.  Central will play Buffalo, Thursday at noon.  The Ball State-Kent State game will follow at 2:30.

In Monday night’s two other games, Miami beat Ohio 68 to 55, and Akron snuck past Western Michigan 79 to 78.

Thursday’s winners will face off, Saturday night.  The MAC men’s championship game will be Sunday night at 7 p.m.
