Man Arrested Outside Muncie Central High School with 10 Knives

A man was arrested outside Muncie Central High School with ten knives strapped to his body, hidden under a coat, say police. 18-year-old Thomas Owens was arrested Wednesday afternoon by a school security officer who is also a Muncie police officer. Owens told officers he was meeting someone at the school and that he always carries knives. Police say there’s no evidence he was trying to hurt anyone. Owens faces ten counts of possession of a knife on school property and one count of trespassing.
