Indiana Senate Race Neck And Neck, Says Downs Center Survey
Recent polling Data from the Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics suggests incumbent Democratic Senator Joe Donnelly is neck and neck with Republican candidate Mike Braun across the state in the senate race.
A total of 1,400 Hoosier adults were surveyed. About 800 said they were likely to vote. The poll looked at factors that may influence elections, including; age, gender, political and religious affiliation, income, education, race and the type of community they live in.
The poll says Donnelly has a slight advantage over Braun, but 11 percent of undecided voters could change that.

Director of the Downs Center, Andy Downs, said while Indiana is not traditionally a ‘swing state’, the number of established politicians who have campaigned for the senate candidates has also had an effect on the closeness of the race.
“The last two senate races Indiana got a lot of attention nationally,” Downs said, “Neither of them ended up being as close as people were forecasting they would be earlier on in the year. This is getting pretty late to still be this tight.”
About 8% of those surveyed favored Libertarian candidate Lucy Brenton.
