Over $4 million in budget cuts will be coming for Earlham College in the 2019-2020 school year.

The Richmond Palladium-Item reports most of the cuts will happen to personnel with the elimination of 11 teaching positions, most of which are visiting professors on one year contracts.

Two retiring professors won’t be replaced. Earlham has been operating at a budget loss for several years. The cumulative net loss was $5.5 million in 2013 and now it’s $47 million. Tuition at Earlham is about $45,500 per year.
