Another chapter is about to unfold in the ongoing controversy surrounding Attorney General Curtis Hill and his alleged groping last year of four women.

Hill’s four accusers, Rep. Mara Candelaria Reardon (D-Munster) and three legislative staffers, will hold a press conference Tuesday.

Reardon and the staffers – Niki DaSilva, Gabrielle McLemore and Samantha Lozano – say they were groped by Hill at a party in March 2018. After months of investigations, a special prosecutor opted not to file criminal charges against Hill.

The women then filed a claim with the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. They also filed a tort claim notice, a procedural requirement before someone sues the state.

The press conference will provide an update to the EEOC charge and the tort claim. The EEOC gives people the right to sue in court only after it decides not to move forward with discrimination charges.
