Avon Elementary Student Tests Positive For COVID-19

An elementary school student from Avon, west of Indianapolis, has been tested positive for COVID-19. According to a message on the Avon Community School Corporation’s site, the health department received a positive result late Sunday evening and notified the district.

The district will have an e-learning day today (Mon.).

The State Health Commissioner and Hendricks County Health Department recommend Hickory Elementary School to close for two weeks until March 20.
