The Town of Pendleton is under a Boil Water Advisory until further notice. The town issued a news release saying the advisory applies to customers served by the Pendleton Municipal Utilities.   The advisory is expected to last until midweek.

The Pendleton Times-Post reports Town Manager Scott Reske said the leak happened in a new water line in the area of State Roads 67 and 9.  The leak drained much of the water from the town’s two water towers, reducing pressure, and prompting the advisory. The line was shut off and water was restored to the town’s water towers.

Officials say customers are advised to bring water to rolling boil for at least three (3) minutes, and let it cool before using for consumption, teeth brushing, and cooking. Ice which was made after Friday, October 22, 2021, should not be consumed or used for drinking. Water may be used for bathing and washing without boiling.”
