Ball State men’s volleyball Cardinals win, will play Lewis in MIVA semifinals

Ball State’s men’s volleyball Cardinals won their quarterfinal match over Quincy three games to zip in Worthen Arena Saturday in the first round of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association conference tournament. The set scores were 25-17, 25-20, and 25-11.

The fifth-ranked Cards will now take on 13th-ranked Lewis University in the MIVA semi-finals, Wednesday at Worthen Arena. Lewis is the tournament’s fourth seed, and came from behind to beat Ohio State three games to two on Saturday.

First serve is at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Ball State is 21-and-3, overall, and 13-and-2 in MIVA action.
