Ball State’s men’s volleyball Cardinals (22-3 overall, 12-2 MIVA) are one step closer to a Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association tournament championship as they beat Lewis in Worthen Arena last night, 25-23, 25-17, and 25-15.

The Cards will host the all-Indiana MIVA Tournament championship match Saturday at Worthen Arena, with the first serve at 7:00 p.m. against Purdue Fort Wayne. This is the first time since 2009 that Ball State has played in the MIVA tournament championship match.

The Mastadons beat Loyola Chicago on the road last night (32-30, 25-23, 27-25) to advance to Saturday’s championship match in Muncie.  PFW has not played in a MIVA tournament championship match since 2007.
