The Mid-American Conference Baseball Tournament got underway at Ball State, Wednesday.  Two games were scheduled and both were interrupted by the weather.

Game One saw second-seeded Central Michigan edge third-seed Toledo, 11 to 10.  Host and top seed Ball State had a 1-to-0 lead over fourth seed Ohio in the bottom of the first inning with one out when lightning and rain halted the game.  The game will resume where it left off, this (Thursday) morning at 10, weather permitting.

The Ball State Daily News reports Thursday’s schedule has been shifted to accommodate Wednesday’s weather delays.  Game three has been moved to 1:30 p.m.  Toledo will play the loser of the Ball State-Ohio game.  Game four will see the winner of the Ball State-Ohio game play Central Michigan at 5:00 p.m.

Showers and thunderstorms are 70% likely in the forecast for Muncie, Thursday.
