Ball State’s women’s basketball Cardinals played on national television for the first time in the program’s history last night (ESPNU) in a hard-fought game at Bowling Green.  The game went to overtime and the Cards lost 81 to 75.

22 turnovers plagued Ball State; Bowling Green lost the ball just 12 times.  Another factor in the loss was the Cardinals hitting only 11 of 25 free throws for a low 44 percent, while the Falcons hit 22 of 31 for 71 percent.

The Cards are 23-and-7 overall and 13-and-4 in the Mid-American Conference – good for third place in the conference standings behind first-place Toledo and second place Bowling Green.  The last game of the regular season is Saturday at Miami.  Tipoff is at 1 p.m. on ESPN3.
