Ball State Update: President Mearns shares improved enrollment figures

Ball State finishes up its second week of classes of the new school year with its largest freshman class in a few years.  Ball State President Geoff Mearns shares the latest enrollment figures.

President Mearns also reflects on the tragic shooting death of a University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill professor, and shares how Ball State has planned for action in the event of an active shooter on campus.

The Brown Family Amphitheater opens on campus Saturday night with acclaimed singer-songwriter Don McLean of “American Pie” fame.  Earlier in the day Saturday, Ball State’s football Cardinals kick off their 2023 season in Lexington against the University of Kentucky Wildcats.
