Greg Mueller is the creator of Habitat Haven, a sculpture and seating area at Corner Park on 8th and Hoyt.

“I’m interested not necessarily in just statuary, static public art, but public art that people can walk through, sit on, a swing through.  You know, walk through a portal, sit on a bench, engage with it and let the sculpture be a catalyst for community.”

Artist Chris Silva created one of the city’s new murals, titled More Love, at Future Choices on Walnut Street.  Silva has been involved with projects like this before and felt a strong pull to get his piece in Muncie.

“I guess I do this to beautify the environment and I’m happy to have added my little touch to Muncie in that way.”

Eight pieces are part of an initiative of the Muncie Arts and Culture Council, which will keep the installations maintained and available for the community.
