The Facing Project host

J.R. Jamison and Kelsey Timmerman are the founders of The Facing Project, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that connects people through stories to strengthen communities. Headquartered in Muncie, Indiana, The Facing Project has connected writers, storytellers, artists, educators, and community leaders in over 100 communities across the country. The organization has over 1,500 stories in its archives. The Facing Project provides a model, tools, coaching, and a platform for communities to arm themselves with stories to begin crucial conversations—neighbor to neighbor, community to community—by discussing solutions and exploring healing through their own narratives.

Kelsey is the New York Times Bestselling author of Where Am I Wearing?, Where Am I Eating?, and Where Am I Giving? His work has appeared in the Christian Science Monitor, Condé Nast Portfolio, and TIME magazine.
