Project Leadership
Project Leadership is a program element of the 21st Century Scholars program, which guarantees tuition for any participating post-secondary education institution in Indiana for income-eligible students who pledge good citizenship and maintain a minimum GPA. Project Leadership helps keeps students who are participating in the 21st Century Scholars program on track by matching them with mentors.
Mentors who participate in Project Leadership don’t need to have any special skills beyond a desire to help a teen work toward a brighter future. The staff prepare volunteers with all the tools they need to help their match be successful. Learn more about the organization by listening to our interviews with Julie McGee, graduation coach; Juli Metzger, board member; Tammy Pearson, executive director; Alexandria King and Jennifer Volk, student and mentor; and Nick Vaughn and Mike Morelli, student and mentor.
To learn more about volunteering with Project Leadership, visit their listing on Shafer Leadership Academy’s CONVERGE website.
Please note that we mistakenly aired the Delaware County office number as their fax number. The correct phone number to call for Project Leadership is Delaware County is 747-5250.
