In the first few days of the new Muncie mayor’s administration, he’s continuing to fill out his cabinet.

Mayor Dan Ridenour has hired a Public Access Communications Director for the city.  Jase Crehan was, until recently, an underwriting advisor at IPR and WIPB-TV.

Carl Malone has been named as Parks Superintendent.  He’s served on the city’s Parks and Recreation Board for eight years and has worked with Muncie community centers.

Also appointed is City Engineer Brian Stephens-Hotopp.  He’ll work on city infrastructure and has held engineering and project manager positions on stormwater and drainage projects.

Stephens-Hotopp will also supervise the Street Department.  That replaces David Smith, who was previously announced as head of the Street Department. New city spokesperson Crehan says Smith will hold another position in the Ridenour administration, but on Thursday did not name that job.
