Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion is the latest school to work out a transfer agreement with Ivy Tech Community College – to see those who earn an associate degree go on to a four-year school to complete a bachelor’s degree.

Indiana Wesleyan and Ivy Tech say there are nine degree paths a student can take.  Options include degrees in business, criminal justice, social work, cyber security, and early childhood education.  Under the agreement, an associate degree in business administration at Ivy Tech, for example, could lead to one of seven bachelor’s degree program options at Indiana Wesleyan.

In a statement, Indiana Wesleyan says the agreement is critical to help lower student debt and optimize transfer credits.

Ivy Tech Community College, as a statewide system, has similar transfer agreements with dozens of four-year colleges, including out-of-state schools.
